GAMEOVER Task Force Arrests Cocoa Armed Robbery Suspect
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 23-year-old Kelvin Bernard Summage Jr., of 4315 Ponds Drive, Cocoa, for an armed robbery that occurred at the Raceway gas station located 3555 Highway 520, Cocoa.
On December 15, 2013, at approximately 10:35 PM, deputies responded to a robbery at the Raceway gas station. The suspect had entered the Raceway gas station displayed a silver colored handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The cashier was forced to give the suspect the money and the suspect exited the store on foot heading south on S. Burnett Road.
On December 16, 2013, Brevard Sheriff’s Agents received information identifying the suspect as Summage. The investigation by Sheriff’s Agents confirmed the information and an Arrest Warrant was obtained. A search of Summage’s Cocoa home located a revolver, cash and clothing, all believed to be used by Summage during the robbery.
Summage was located and arrested by agents from the GAMEOVER Task Force at a Titusville residence. Summage subsequently provided information further linking him to the Robbery.
Summage was charged with Armed Robbery with a Firearm and Grand Theft. Summage is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex on a $105,000 bond.
Summage is suspected of committing several other robberies at convenience stores in the Cocoa area during 2013.
