NR 14-107 Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 33-year-old Timothy Jay Allenson of Cocoa within 30 minutes of an Armed Robbery today. At approximately 12:00 PM this afternoon, Deputies responded to an Armed Robbery at the Sunshine Food Mart on North Highway 1 and Canaveral Groves Boulevard, Cocoa.
Upon arrival the clerk advised that a suspect had displayed a knife and demanded money. The clerk then gave the armed suspect an amount of money from the register and observed the suspect as he left in a white van.
Deputies observed the van and suspect shortly after leaving the scene. The suspect was identified as Allenson who was arrested without incident.
Allenson was additionally identified as the suspect who attempted the Robbery of a female while she was at an ATM at the Bank of America, 3975 Kings Highway, Titusville. This incident occurred shortly before the convenience store robbery. The victim in this incident refused to comply with the suspects demands and fled in a white van.
Allenson was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, Grand Theft and Attempted Robbery. He was transported to the Brevard County Jail Complex under a No bond status.
