NR 14-18 Sheriff’s Agents Arrest Melbourne Child Pornography Suspect
Earlier today, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 60-year-old Eugene Hudome of Melbourne relative to the Production of Child Pornography, Possession with Intent to Distribute Child Pornography and the Possession of Child Pornography. Hudome is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex on a $560,000 bond.
The investigation was initiated after the Sheriff’s Office received a tip reference to Hudome and possible criminal activities. A search warrant was executed at Hudome’s residence located at 2237 September Street, where agents seized a computer and other electronic media equipment. Agents are awaiting the results of a forensic examination of the evidence to determine if additional charges will be filed. Agents seized evidence relating to the production of Child Pornography and are concerned that there are unreported and/or unidentified victims.
The investigation determined that Hudome had been downloading child pornography for years and was in the possession of child pornography depicting children who were 4-6 years of age.
