NR 14-32 Update – Barefoot Bay Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
Agents of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office South Precinct General Crimes Unit have located an arrested Dennis Leo Foster in connection with yesterday’s robbery of the First United Bank in Barefoot Bay.
Deputies and agents were able to identify Foster as the individual responsible for committing the robbery of the bank on Friday morning. An arrest warrant was obtained for Foster while investigators continued to work throughout the afternoon and evening hours to locate him.
Information received from multiple sources lead Agents to a hotel room in Indian River County. With the assistance of the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, Foster was taken into custody shortly after 11:00 pm without incident.
Foster will be held in the Indian River County jail pending his extradition to Brevard County. He is charged with Armed Robbery and Grand Theft. His bond has been set at $250,000.
