NR 14-60 Rockledge Man Arrested For Attempted Murder Of Wife
Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Agents have arrested 52-year-old, DAVID GLEN BREVICK, of 7030 Heron’s Landing Drive, Rockledge, charging him with Attempted First Degree Murder. Brevick was charged by arrest warrant and currently being housed at the Brevard County Jail on a No Bond status. The charges stem from an incident that occurred shortly before midnight at the residence in Rockledge.
On August 8, 2014, at approximately 11:36 P.M., Deputies responded to the residence after Brevick made a 911 emergency call to the Sheriff’s Office indicating that two men had entered the residence and were injuring his wife. Deputies arrived at the residence to find it locked and secure. Brevick opened the door for deputies, advising that the men were still inside. Upon searching the residence, deputies were unable to locate any intruders. They did locate Brevick’s wife, 56-year-old Francia Vargas-Brevick, on the bedroom floor, unresponsive. The victim was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center where she is currently listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
The investigation is ongoing with Agents and Crime Scene Investigators currently conducting a search warrant at the residence.
