NR 15-103 Sheriff’s Office and Target Zero Partner
On Thursday, November 12 at 10:30 A.M., Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey will be signing an official Target Zero Fellowship agreement at the South Animal Care Center, 5100 West Eau Gallie Blvd, Melbourne, Florida.
Target Zero (target-zero.org) is a national non-profit organization that mentors proven best practice strategies to leaders in Fellow Cities (at no charge) with the goal of achieving and sustaining a 90%+ survival rate of all shelter dogs and cats.
The Target Zero Fellowship is re-evaluated each year for a maximum of (3) years and includes consulting services regarding impactful programming, assistance with ordinance revisions, staff training, and links to potential funding and more. The Target Zero team welcomes Brevard County, Florida as their newest Fellow and encourages the community to be part of the productive and life saving partnership. This partnership will develop a best practice in Sheriff Ivey’s efforts to reach a No Kill Animal Care Center status.
