NR 15-116 Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is Seeking Assistance in Identifying Check Fraud Suspects

NR 15-116 - Fraud suspect IDThe Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Economic Crimes Task Force is conducting an investigation into a large scale check fraud. The scheme involves multiple suspects opening fraudulent checking accounts with local banks to obtain legitimate debit cards. Hundreds of stolen checks were deposited into these checking accounts totaling approximately $68,000.00. The debit cards containing the fraudulent checking account information was used to withdraw cash and purchase various gift cards.

Two of the suspects have not yet been identified and are depicted in the attached photographs. They are described as two black males, black hair, and dark eyes. The first suspect (in the driver’s seat) is light skinned, with long hair, and weighing approximately 150lbs to 160lbs. The second suspect (sitting in the passenger seat) is dark skinned, with short hair, weighing approximately 175lbs to 185lbs. The suspects are possibly known as “Tay” and “Kevin” and could be living in the Cocoa or Central Florida area.
