NR 15-62 Overdose Investigation Continues with Arrest for Drug Possession
As part of the continuing investigation into the recent drug overdose cases, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Special Investigations Unit has arrested 32-year-old, Oliver Jenkins Jr. of Cocoa. Jenkins was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his residence located at 319 Pine Avenue, Cocoa. He was charged with Possession of Cannabis at the scene and additionally charged with Possession of Cocaine and Introduction of Contraband into a Correctional Facility when it was discovered that Jenkins had Cocaine concealed on his person during the booking process at the jail. He is currently being held on $4500 bond. Additional charges are expected once the evidence collected during the investigation is analyzed.
