NR 16-41 Sheriff’s Deputies Seek Identity of Scam Suspects

16-41On May 28, 2016, at approximately 9:00 P.M., the subjects in the above surveillance photographs entered the Publix located at 7325 North US Highway 1, Cocoa, where they approached the customer service counter and asked the clerk for change. The suspects distracted and attempted to confuse the clerk in an effort to take more money than they were given back. It was later discovered the subjects were able to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash during the exchange.

Sheriff’s Investigators have worked with Publix Loss Prevention Officers and found similar incidents have occurred within multiple jurisdictions throughout Brevard County.
