NR 17-05 Investigative Update: Scottsmoor Death Investigation
On February 17, 2017, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Sunset Avenue, Scottsmoor, after a concerned friend went to check on 80-year-old Grady Wright, finding him deceased inside the residence.
The Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office performed a post mortem examination of the deceased, ruling the manner of death as homicide. Homicide agents and Crime Scene investigators are currently conducting interviews and examining physical and biological evidence in the case. The investigation to date has determined the incident to be isolated.
