Commander Carlos Reyes

Commander Carlos Reyes is law enforcement veteran of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office with over twenty-nine years of service. Commander Reyes currently oversees the daily operations of our East Precinct in Merritt Island. Commander Reyes previously commanded the North Precinct, K-9 Unit, and Critical Incident Stress Management Team. During his career, he has served as a Patrol Deputy; and an Agent in the General Crimes, Special Victims, FBI JTTF, and Homicide Units. Additionally, he has served in supervisory assignments as a Major/Watch Commander, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, and as an Investigative Sergeant and Lieutenant in the Major Crimes Division in our Criminal Investigative Services. Commander Reyes also served eleven years as a SWAT team crisis negotiator and team leader.  Commander Reyes holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Master of Science Degree in Organizational Management.

Commander Reyes is a current board member at the Palm Point Behavioral Health Center.
