Director Lisa Gillis is a seasoned Human Resources professional with 28 years of dedicated service in the public sector. She is recognized for her expertise in labor relations, job analysis, and policy development, ensuring that HR strategies align with the mission and values of public service.
Before transitioning to Human Resources, she built a strong foundation in public communication, website development, and publishing across both print and electronic media. Drawing on this experience, she successfully spearheaded the transformation of the HR Office from paper-based operations to a fully digital environment—implementing electronic records management and automating key HR processes to improve efficiency and accessibility.
Director Gillis has played a leading role in the seamless integration of multiple interlocal mergers, a complex process involving the hiring of hundreds of law enforcement personnel. Director Gillis holds a Master of Public Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.
