Major Brian Neal

Major Brian Neal is a twenty-seven-year law enforcement veteran of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office who currently serves as the Major over the Professional Standards Unit. Major Neal holds a Degree in Criminal Justice from Eastern Florida State. He has served as a Deputy, Agent, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. As an Investigative Agent, he held assignments with General Crimes, IRS/Secret Service Task Force, and Sex Offender Registration and Tracking assisting with Internet Crimes against Children. He has held supervisory assignments in the Special Investigations Unit, Economic Crimes Task Force, Victim Services, Sex Offender Registration and Tracking, and Digital Forensics. Major Neal previously held command over District and School Security and previously served as the law enforcement liaison at the county Emergency Operations Center. He is also the recipient of the FBI-LEEDA Leadership Trilogy Award for his completion of the Supervisory Leadership Institute, Command Leadership Institute, and the Executive Leadership Institute, and is a 2023 graduate of the National Public Safety Innovation Academy.

Major Neal currently serves on the board for Brevard 211 and is a former board member of Central Florida Crimeline.
