Major Ross Torquato

Major Ross Torquato is a thirty-one-year law enforcement veteran of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office who currently serves a Watch Commander in the Jail Complex. Major Torquato holds a Master’s Degree in the Administration of Criminal Justice from the Columbia College of Missouri. He has served as a Patrol Deputy, Field Training Officer, Patrol Corporal, FTO Coordinator, Career Development Instructor, Patrol Sergeant, and Patrol Lieutenant. His career also includes an eleven-year assignment to the SWAT team along with five years in the Career Development Unit. Major Torquato has instructed in eight international law enforcement instructor training conferences, as well as instructing the Florida High Liability conference on three occasions. He is a recipient of the FBI-LEEDA Leadership Trilogy Award for his completion of the Supervisory Leadership Institute, Command Leadership Institute, and the Executive Leadership Institute.
