Concealed Weapons Permits

General Information:

  1. Concealed Weapon or Firearm permits are issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing.
  2. Before you submit your application, you are required by law to become knowledgeable of Chapter 790, Florida Statutes.
  3. You can obtain an application and be fingerprinted (required) at any Brevard County Sheriff’s Office precinct. It is highly recommended that you visit a precinct that offers electronic fingerprinting. Electronic fingerprints shorten the average application processing time by a few weeks. Currently, all of our Precincts offer this:

  4. At the time that you submit your application you will be required to pay the following fees:
    • Electronic Submission:
      • $33.00 – Fingerprint processing & service fee to BCSO

We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express (credit card transactions are subject to a convenience fee of $2.00 or 2.95%, whichever is greater)
