The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Care Center provides a home away from home for all of our adoptable and stray pets. These dogs and cats are cared for by our incredible team members, along with countless volunteers who help provide them with play time and lots of love.
In February 2025, we were humbled to open K9 Junny’s Animal Medical Center, where our skilled team of Veterinarians and assistants are now able to provide exceptional care to every animal that comes through our doors! This project was made possible by donations from Vicki Shepard and from public donations to our Pet Posse. This state of the art medical facility allows our team to perform their job in the best possible way! We are grateful to all of our community members who have donated in any way, as you were a part of bringing this dream facility to life.
K9 Junny’s Animal Medical Center will forever honor the life and legacy of Sheriff Ivey’s K9 Junny and his work as an ambassador for children and pets in our community!
Through the incredible partnerships with our local business members, Boniface Heirs, Glover Orndorf & Flanagan Wealth Management, and ATH Trailer Sales And Repairs, their donations to the Sheriff’s Pet Posse allows us to proudly offer free adoptions for any pet at our Animal Care Center!
When the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office assumed responsibility for Animal Services on October 1, 2014, the Live Release Rate for Brevard County had averaged 55% over the preceding five (5) years. With the help of our amazing team, our citizens, rescue groups, volunteers, and all of our amazing partners, we are proud to announce that we continue to keep Brevard County as a No-Kill community!
