District & School Security

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with Brevard Public Schools, is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, secure, and productive learning environment for all students, staff and visitors. District and School Security oversees the School Resource Officers (SROs) Program, Guardian and Specialists Programs and ensures compliance with the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas Act.

Our SRO’s partner not only with the Brevard Public Schools, but also private schools throughout the community as well.

All Brevard County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Deputies receive in-depth training and have the tactical advantage to instantly address any threat that may arise on our campus.

Not only do our School Resource Deputies provide our campuses with the comfort of knowing they are safe, but they build quality relationships with students and provide mentoring and information on real life issues.
