Unified Communications Center

Welcome to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Unified Communications Center!

The BCSO Unified Communications Center proudly resides in the new Emergency Operations Center in Rockledge, and provides dispatch for law enforcement, fire, and medical emergencies throughout the county. Our team made this their permanent home in Spring 2024.

It is comprised of highly trained Dispatchers and 911 Call Takers, each of whom are cross trained in all areas of emergency communications functions and crisis intervention. Each year, dispatchers and call takers answer hundreds of thousands of calls, for both emergency and non-emergency situations. They are the lifeline between our citizens and first responders, as they serve as a vital role in our mission of keeping this community safe!

Also housed full-time in the Unified Communications Center is our comfort dog, Diesel. Diesel is a graduate of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office “Comfort Dog Program”, an advanced therapy dog training program under the Paws & Stripes College. Diesel initially found his “furever” home with members of the BCSO Communications Center. Diesel has become an important component of the team, serving as a companion and providing comfort to all of the dispatchers who work each day in the often-high-pressure job of coordinating emergency responses for the citizens of Brevard County.
